Pacific Palisades is one of the trickier areas we serve, and we’ve learned its quirks. The flat blocks near Sunset and Swarthmore are straightforward, but most of the work we do here is up in the hillside neighborhoods off Palisades Drive, Chautauqua, and the canyon roads heading toward Topanga. A lot of those streets have narrow shoulders, steep driveways, and tight turnarounds that a 40-yard truck simply can’t manage. The project mix in 90272 leans heavily toward high-end remodels: kitchen and primary bath gutting, ADU builds, hillside landscape overhauls, and the occasional full teardown. We see fewer commercial jobs and more luxury residential renovations than in most LA neighborhoods, which means we plan deliveries carefully and often suggest a smaller bin swapped twice over a 9-yard truck instead of trying to wedge a big box where it won’t fit.

Our standard rental is 8 days from the day we drop it off. That’s enough time for most remodels and cleanouts without feeling rushed. If you need more time, just let us know at least 2 business days before the scheduled pickup and we’ll extend it. Waiting until pickup day makes it much harder to reschedule.

No hazardous materials: wet paint, solvents, oils, car batteries, tires, or refrigerators still holding freon. Dried, fully hardened paint is fine, only liquid paint is the problem. Electronics sometimes need special handling, so ask first. Regular household junk, construction debris, yard waste, drywall, flooring, and remodel materials all go in without issue.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street in 90272, you’ll need an LADOT street-use permit. Either the homeowner or the contractor can pull it. We’ll tell you at scheduling which situation applies based on your drop location.

Yes, we deliver throughout the Palisades hills. Just tell us the exact street when you book so dispatch can pre-check the approach on satellite. For tight switchbacks, narrow shoulders, or steep driveways, we’ll often recommend a 3-yard or 9-yard instead of a larger box. Smaller bin, two swaps, same end result.
