South Pasadena is a small, walkable city with a lot of older homes, and that shapes the kind of dumpster work we do here. The Mission Street corridor and the neighborhoods around Orange Grove and Fair Oaks are full of Craftsman bungalows and 1920s Spanish-style houses, which means a lot of our jobs are kitchen and bath remodels, foundation repairs, and careful renovations rather than full teardowns. Tree-lined streets like Marengo and Fremont have narrow driveways, so bin placement takes a little planning. We also see steady work near the SR-110 corridor and around the South Pasadena High School area for garage cleanouts and yard projects. The city is its own jurisdiction, so street permits go through South Pasadena public works, not LA County or LADOT.

Our standard rental is 8 days from the day we drop it off, which covers most home projects with room to spare. If you need more time, just let us know at least 2 business days before your scheduled pickup and we’ll extend it. The earlier you call, the easier it is to keep things on your schedule.

No hazardous materials: wet paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, or refrigerators with freon still in them. Dried, fully hardened paint is fine. Some electronics need special handling, so ask first. Everything normal goes in: household junk, construction debris, yard waste, drywall, flooring, cabinets, and remodel materials.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property in 91030, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street, you’ll need a permit from the City of South Pasadena public works department. Either the homeowner or the contractor can pull it, and it’s usually a quick process.

South Pasadena has plenty of tight older driveways and we work around them all the time. A 3 yard or 9 yard usually fits where bigger bins won’t. If access is really tight, we can stage the bin and shuttle loads. Text us a quick photo of your driveway and we’ll tell you exactly what fits.

Yes, just tell us at booking. We’ll note whether you want the rear doors facing the street, the garage, or the back yard, and the driver will set it that way. It makes a real difference when you’re loading from one side or backing a wheelbarrow or skid steer up to the opening.
