No hazardous stuff: wet paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, or fridges with freon still in them. Dried, hardened paint is fine, it’s only the liquid stuff that’s a problem. Electronics can have special handling rules so ask first. Household junk, construction debris, yard waste, and remodel materials are all good to go.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property in 91011, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street, La Canada Flintridge handles its own permits through the city’s public works department, not LADOT. The homeowner or contractor pulls it, and it’s usually a quick process.
