Stevenson Ranch sits just west of the 5 freeway in the Santa Clarita Valley, and it’s one of the more planned, HOA-heavy communities we serve. Most of the work we do up here runs along the hillside streets off Pico Canyon Road and the newer tracts closer to The Old Road. The housing stock skews newer, two-story tract homes, custom hillside builds, and townhome clusters, which means a lot of our bins go out for kitchen and bath remodels, full garage cleanouts, and the occasional pool deck tear-out. Driveways tend to be steep or stamped concrete, so placement takes a little planning. Stevenson Ranch is unincorporated LA County, so street placement goes through LA County Public Works rather than LADOT.

Our standard rental period is 8 days from the day we drop it off. If you need more time, just let us know at least 2 business days before your scheduled pickup and we’ll extend it. Easy. The trouble starts when people wait until pickup morning to call, so plan ahead.

No hazardous materials: wet paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, or refrigerators still holding freon. Dried, hardened paint in the can is fine, it’s the liquid stuff that’s the problem. Electronics may have special handling rules, so ask first. Regular household junk, construction debris, yard waste, and remodel materials all go in any bin.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property in 91381, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street, Stevenson Ranch is unincorporated LA County, so the encroachment permit comes from LA County Public Works rather than LADOT. We can point you to the right form when you book.

In Stevenson Ranch we place heavy-duty rubber pads under the bin when the driveway layout allows. The pads protect concrete, pavers, and stamped surfaces from staining, scratching, and pressure cracks. Some driveways up here are too steep or have step-down approaches that make pads impractical. Dispatch will tell you at scheduling if yours is one of those.

Most Stevenson Ranch HOAs require advance notice and a written placement plan before a bin shows up. When you book with us, we provide the delivery date, time window, and exact bin dimensions so you have what you need to submit. Pull HOA approval before you schedule delivery to avoid a violation notice.
