Sierra Madre sits up against the San Gabriel foothills, and the housing stock here is one of a kind. You’ve got Craftsman bungalows from the 1920s along Baldwin Avenue, older homes tucked into the streets north of Sierra Madre Boulevard, and hillside properties near the trailheads. The lots tend to be modest, driveways are often short, and side yards can be tight. A lot of our work here is renovation debris from owners updating older homes without losing the character, plus yard waste cleanouts after the rainy season when the canyons drop branches everywhere. We know the local layout well, so we can usually find a spot for the bin even on the narrower streets closer to downtown.

Standard rental runs 8 days from the day we drop it off. That works for most projects. If you need more time, just give us a call at least 2 business days before your scheduled pickup and we’ll extend it. Easy to arrange as long as you don’t wait until the last minute.

No hazardous stuff: wet paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, or refrigerators still holding freon. Dried, hardened paint in a can is fine, it’s only liquid paint that’s a problem. Electronics sometimes need special handling, so ask. Regular household junk, construction debris, yard waste, and remodel materials all go in without issue.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property in 91024, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street, you’ll need a permit from the City of Sierra Madre public works department. Either the homeowner or the contractor can pull it. We can walk you through the steps if it’s your first time.

Plenty of these homes were built before driveways got long and wide, so we plan placement carefully. We’ll recommend the smallest bin that still fits the job to keep things tidy. If you’re worried about a specific surface, a paver path, an old concrete pad, just tell us when you book and we’ll work around it.

In Sierra Madre we place heavy-duty protection pads under the bin whenever the driveway layout allows. Pads guard against staining, scratching, and pressure cracks on concrete, pavers, and stamped surfaces. If your driveway is sloped, tight, or has a step-down approach, pads aren’t always practical, and dispatch will flag that when we schedule.
