Mount Washington is one of those Northeast LA neighborhoods that keeps us on our toes. The winding streets off Figueroa climb up into some of the steepest residential terrain in the city, and the mix of older Craftsman bungalows, mid-century hillside homes, and newer remodels means every project looks a little different. We see a lot of kitchen and bath renovations, hillside deck rebuilds, and the occasional whole-house remodel up here. Access is the big challenge. Narrow streets, tight switchbacks above San Rafael Avenue, and driveways that drop off at sharp angles mean we always talk through placement before the truck rolls out. If you’re closer to the flats near Avenue 43 or Cypress Park, drop-offs are usually straightforward.

Standard rental is 8 days from the day we drop it off. That covers most home projects with a little breathing room. If you need more time, just let us know at least 2 business days before your scheduled pickup and we’ll extend it. Easy.

No hazardous materials: wet paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, or refrigerators with freon. Dried, hardened paint is fine, it’s only the liquid stuff we can’t take. Electronics may need special handling, so ask first. Household junk, construction debris, yard waste, and remodel materials are all good to go.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street in 90065, you’ll need an LADOT street-use permit. Either the homeowner or the contractor can pull it. We can point you in the right direction if it’s your first time.

Every size includes a weight allowance built into the flat rate, and we tell you exactly what that allowance is up front so there are no surprises. If you go over, we charge a per-ton overage at the dump’s actual rate. No markup, no games.

Yes, mixed loads of regular trash and construction debris are totally fine in one bin. The one exception is clean inert material like concrete, dirt, or asphalt. Those need a separate clean-inert bin so the dump rates stay low. If you’re not sure, give us a call.
