Los Feliz is one of the trickier neighborhoods in LA to work in, and we know it well. The flats down near Hollywood Blvd and Franklin Ave are mostly classic Spanish bungalows and Craftsman homes, while the hills climbing up toward Griffith Park give us steep driveways, hairpin turns, and narrow streets that demand a smaller truck and careful planning. A lot of our work here is kitchen and bath remodels in the older homes off Vermont and Hillhurst, plus the occasional full gut renovation in the hills. Street parking is tight almost everywhere in 90027, so most of our drops land on driveways or get coordinated with an LADOT permit for street placement. If you’re near the village area, we’ll usually scout the approach before we commit to a size.

Standard rental is 8 days from the day we drop it off. That covers most home projects without a rush. If you need more time, just give us a heads up at least 2 business days before your scheduled pickup and we’ll extend it. The earlier you tell us, the easier it is to keep your spot on the route.

No hazardous stuff: wet paint, solvents, motor oil, batteries, tires, or fridges with freon still in them. Dried hardened paint is fine, it’s only the liquid form we can’t take. Electronics sometimes need special handling, so ask first. Regular household junk, construction debris, yard waste, and remodel materials are all good to go.

If the bin sits on your driveway or private property, no permit needed. If it has to go on a public street anywhere in 90027, you’ll need an LADOT street-use permit. Either the homeowner or your contractor can pull it. It’s a straightforward process and we can point you to the right page if you’ve never done it before.

Los Feliz driveways can be tight, especially up in the hills. We can usually slip a 3-yard or 9-yard into pretty snug spots. If access is really limited, we can stage the bin nearby and shuttle debris. Easiest thing to do is text us a quick photo of your driveway and we’ll tell you exactly what’ll fit.

In most cases no. We place heavy-duty protection pads under the bin when the driveway layout allows, which keeps the concrete, pavers, or stamped surfaces free from staining, scratching, and pressure cracks. On steep, sloped, or step-down driveways pads aren’t always practical, and dispatch will let you know at scheduling if yours is one of those.
